National and state level awards

The Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh has established new National Standards in the field of Arts and Literature by establishing some national and state level annual awards for the respect of various forms of art.

Kabir Award

This award was established in the year 1986-87 to honor poetic genius in the field of Indian poetry. Any Indian language poet can be honored with this award. The amount of this award is Rs. 1,50,000/- So far the poets of Kannada, Bangla, Punjabi, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati languages ​​have been given this honor.

Tansen Award

Tansen Award was established in the year 1980, whose prize money is Rs.1,00,000 / -. This award is given every year during the Tansen Festival in Gwalior for Hindustani classical music.

Kalidas Prize

This award was established in the year 1980-81. The award of Rs. 5000 / - for the area of ​​classical music, classical dance, drama and visual arts. An amount of Rs. 100,000 / - and citation is provided.

Tulsi awards

Tulsi awards were established in the year 1983-84 for tribal / folk art and traditional art honors. This award is given for drama twice and once for the visual arts, this is done alternately in a period of 3 years. In the form of awards to the recipient, Rs. 1,00,000 / - and citation is provided.

Lata Mangeshkar Award

Lata Mangeshkar Award was started from 1984-85 for honoring excellence in the field of accessible music. The award is given to turn singers, musicians and musicians of any language in turn. Generally this annual award is given in Indore on or around December 4, on the birthday of Lata Mangeshkar.

Iqbal Samman

Kumar Gandharva Award

Kumar Gandharva Award was instituted in the year 1992-93 to encourage creativity among youth in the field of music. Maithilisharan Gupta Award

To honor excellence in the field of creative poetry of Hindi poetry, in the year 1987-88, Rs. The award of Rs. 100,000 / - was given to this award.

Sharad Joshi respect

In addition to literature, Sharad Joshi Award was established to honor people related to other trends of writing. This award is given for writing essays, memoirs, treasures, diaries, letters and satire writing. As per this award, the recipient will get Rs. 51,000 / - and citation is provided.

This honor was established in the year 1980-81 for excellent creativity in the field of literature, music, theater and visual arts.

Each year, an art is selected for the award from the field of music, dance, drama and folk art. For the visual arts, Shikhar is given for tribal and non-tribal, both forms. Generally, one year, Rupkar Art is chosen for a period of 3 years.

In the field of literature only the peak respect is given for Hindi. The prize money of each peak award is Rs. 31,000 / -.

Kishore Kumar Award

This award was established in year 1998. Every year, this award is presented for outstanding work in the field of film direction, acting, screenwriting and song writing. A program is organized at Kishore Kumar's birth place, Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, to provide recipients (amount of Rs.1 lakh) to the recipients.

Devi Ahilya Bai award

Mahatma Gandhi Award
